“Where do I plug in the transmitter? I have a surround sound system with a Sony DA3300 receiver. Where do I plug in the transmitter and will others watching tv in the same room be able to control the sound to their own liking? The volume from the TV is actually muted when running through a receiver so I don't think plugging directly into the TV is an option.”

I had the same problem. My surround sound is set up the same way and I had no outlet for the headphones. But I found that once I hooked them to the TV, the sound quality was just as good and I only needed to adjust the sound on the headphones, not through the TV. Works great.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Plug in location all depends on your TV. There are two choices, the single port output jack or the red and white output jacks. It does not affect the normal output of the TV. There is a on off switch on the headphone along with volumn control. Just get them and try. You can always return them as I did with the cheaper headphones I first tried.
