If your Samsung sound bar or T.V. has a headphone jack - use that. I connected the headphones to the "audio out " jacks of my receiver and got nothing. The instructions say connect the headphones to a cable box. The instructions fail to say that the cable box connection is the only way the "audio out " connection will work. The only way I could get my headphones to work was to connect them to a headphone jack. I connect them to my Yamaha receiver or my T.V. that way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do you have the cable going to your sound bar from the directv box or from an out put in the back of your TV? I would recommend having all devices go from their respective audio out cables into the TV, then using and optical out from the TV to the sound bar. If the TV or sound bar do not have Optical out, use an RCA cable. Hopefully both devices at least have that. I.e. RCA out from TV to RCA in on sound bar. Hope that helps.
