I only had that problem when using it outside or in direcr sunlight. The speaker can ocerheat. If you keep it shielded from the sun, i.e. shady area and keep it cool, it continues to work. I bought a second one and paired them together and they work phenominally.

Not the biggest sound from a bluetooth speaker, but big/loud isn't always the best sound. It hss never lost sound at all. It was a birthday present from my other half recently. Good to listen at home or work.
