Do I need to do something with the TV to make these headphones work and override the TV's sound system? I was lead to believe that all I had to do was charge and turn the headphones on and it would automatically cancel the TV's sound system. null

Hi there! Connecting this unit to a TV does not guarantee that it would cancel the sound being produced to an audio equipment connected to the TV. You should check the TV's operating manual if there is a setting which will disable the sound coming through the audio equipment. -Jerome
