They should be fine for sitting still on an airplane. They're lightweight and have good sound, but aren't designed for activity that requires any bending or leaning, such as picking up a suitcase or reaching into the overhead compartment.

Yes, these will work on airplanes, & they're SO MUCH MORE comfortable than ear buds. They're also better at noise-cancelling.
