A:AnswerThe MDR-ZX110 does not come with a 3.5mm to 1/4 inch stereo adapter. You must provide that on your own, but they are cheap and can be found at pretty much retail store that carries audio equipment (BEST BUY, Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc.) for very cheap. To be clear the ZX-100 "Plug" on the cord is 3.5mm to fit a 3.5mm jack (the plug is on the cord and the jack is part of the equipment you are plugging into).

A:AnswerUm........ Depends on the TV. If it has Bluetooth then you should buy the bluetooth version of these headphones. Then you wouldn't need to plug them in. This version is wired only so yes you would have to plug them in. They isolate external sounds well, but again depends on what external noises you're trying to isolate. If it's a herd of charging elephants, maybe they won't work, but normal street noises should be fine.
