• No, they are not independent, that is the biggest disappointment

• Yes you can, you get two connections via Bluetooth, one with both active or just right and other for left. One can charge while you use the other.

• Yes. I use the left only for phone calls.

• Yes. They show up independently in your Bluetooth menu. These are the best buds Anker has put out.
