“So if these turn off, like if I put them in my pocket then try to use them later, there's no way to turn them back on without fetching the case?? I'm in a store shopping and tried to use these w/my phone but they won't turn back on. What's up with that?!”

Just pause your music next time. Turn it back on when you leave. You won’t forget them in your pocket and have them go through the wash.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not really sure, but I would suspect that taking the earbuds out of the case is similar to an on switch. So when they are in your pocket they are off until placed back in the case and when removed again they will start the bluetooth connection again.
