• Yes, thats what I did, the balance on the giftcard will be used first, the remainder will be charged to the other source of payment.

• Yes, but I believe only 3 payments are allowed per transaction. SO two gift card and a credit card can be used. If they are gifts and you have more, split you transaction up and pay for the departing and returning flight separate. I hope this helps.

• In the past Southwest has let me split two payments total, so the gift card then a credit/debit card for the balance.
