“The packaging shows the case providing supported adjustable viewing angles in both the portrait and landscape modes. It does the job in landscape mode, but I can’t figure out how to set it upright supported in the portrait mode. Any ideas?”

I don't have my package to look at anymore, but the description on Best Buy and also the Speck website don't say anything about this case adjusting to portrait mode viewing, only landscape for videos. The only think I can think of is maybe opening the case towards the back and using the clasp to hold it in the triangle position. I wouldn't do it, though.
