Is this cover a stand also null

Yes it does allow the iPad to stand on one of the longer sides (portrait-which is standard for most cases). It’s not super supportive as a stand though (I haven’t really seen a case that is), so if you have kids, clumsy adults, or animals beware they don’t knock it off kilter-that’s pretty much the same of all electronics. It seems to be a quality case, what it doesn’t mention is that it fits BOTH iPad 7th gen AND iPad Air 3rd gen if that’s of any use.
