• Not really because access to the kitchen faucet will be difficult and the dishwasher is not designed to pump water up hill on a serious incline.

• I don't see any reason it could not be mounted that way. The hoses and power come out of the back. You would have to figure out how to route the water and discharge lines. They go to the adapter that attaches to the faucet. I think they could be permanently attached to water and drain, but you would have to figure something out.
