does it work with a solid state drive? null

Mine didn't clone from HDD into SSD. I tried to clone my current 640Gb HDD to newly purchased Samsung 1Tb SSD. It didn't copy, although 640 space was occupied in the terabyte. Looks like it copies asif regular files, doesn't clone. So, operative system wouldn't work. You would have to install operating system onto SSD.
