• yes you can connect to the controller or to the ps4 directly sound works a bit different each way .. i did buy for ps4 works great and also with pc or phones etc.

• As long as the controller has a 3.5 mm port yes, BUT the rgb/surround I believe does not work on consoles. PC only. At that point go arctis 3 but I could be wrong

• It does! There is a small adapter that comes with it that connects the headset cable to a 3.5mm plug in. It can be plugged directly into the controller from there. I included some pictures of the set up.
