“Hi, I use the ps5 only and got the Arctis Nova 7 wireless gen 2 which is primarily for pc and I didn’t realize. Is there any difference in the 7P version that’s primarily for the ps5? I used to have the Astro A10 gen 1 and felt like the audio was better”

You should be able to use the headset on PS5 as it is compatible. The dongle just has to be in USB mode. I also recommend adjusting the setting from your phone, using the Arctis Mobile companion app
