• No, it is entirely connected by the plug. It will remain on until the computer is shut off, so you shouldn't have to recharge it (unless you're using a laptop, in which case the duration of light is reliant on the duration of battery).

• You just plug it in when using the ring light and plug it out when finished or push the off button.
