“Is this just to use with a phone or can you use it with a regular video camera?”

• I think it COULD be used for a video camera, but the camera "stand" that comes with it is designed for a phone. I'm sure you could purchase a separate piece that can adapt to it for your video camera though! Keep in mind, I am NOT an expert. lol.
