“All went together well on the set up, but the light stays on for about 8 seconds and immediately shuts off. Am I doing something wrong? Need this to work asap.”

I am wondering what you used as a power source. Perhaps it was drawing more than the source could supply and it shut down to keep it from overheating (thermally protected)?

Mine is doing exactly the same thing.There are non troubleshooting tips given by the manufacturer. Does anyone have suggestions? Is it a bad lamp that needs to be returned?
