I did not have enough room to continue the question. Obviously I would use a portable antenna with it. I would connect to an antenna brought with me to different locations. So the goal would be tp place the tablo and the antenna near a window or area to pick up the best signal and the device would wireless stream the digital TV signal to the device using (tablet, smartphone, TV application for FireTV or Chromecast) in the hotel area or school area.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To view the content on the Tablo, you need to run the app, the app will be viewable on a Smart phone. On some TVs you can download the app, it's not available on Samsung. To view on a Samsung TV and other TVs that won't run the app you must use a Fire Stick or Roku box. There is some TV programming that's viewable from the Internet through the Tablo box, but if you're not using an antenna with the Tablo box, you might as well just get a Fire Stick or Roku box.
