There are OTA channels and streaming channels. Tablo probably had the streaming channels somewbere on its web site. There may be some overlap between the streaming channels and Cable. There was nothing particularly enticing in the streaming channels for me. I'd have been unlikely to have watched any of them.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From Tablo’s support: Will Tablo record cable TV content from cable cards or clear cable (QAM) signals? While most televisions can display unencrypted cable signals (sometimes called Clear QAM), the tuners in Tablo DVRs are not designed for this. Tablo OTA DVRs are instead designed specifically to receive digital signals from Over-the-Air TV antennas. While 'clear cable' signals and content from cable cards are also digital, they are delivered in a totally different format than OTA TV signals so you won't be able to use Tablo as a replacement for your cable company's box or your cable card-capable DVR. We are also not currently considering adding support for cable cards or clear QAM.
