A:AnswerUnfortunately, our 4th Generation Tablo is not for sale to consumers in Canada.
All models of Tablo device are capable of functioning in the United States and Canada and will provide TV guide data for over-the-air stations in both countries.
However, as the integrated free streaming channels in the 4th Generation Tablo are licensed only for consumers in the United States, they will not be viewable or recordable for consumers in Canada.
A:AnswerUnfortunately, no.
Our 4th Generation Tablo will record anything it picks up, such as over-the-air TV and any of its free streaming channels but it will not record anything outside such.
A:AnswerIf you want the atsc simply as a tuner perhaps this is not for you. However all the OTA tuners/dvr units I tried did a bad job especially as a method to record content. As a tuner Maybe ok. Homerun HD slightly pricey. ZJbox not to bad, Media sonix homeworx just a bit under the ZJbox. Eitherr way those unita are all 25-40 bucks. Good luck
A:AnswerAlso the two tuner keeps you two only two channels at a time. Perhaps two TV's watching same channel would only count as one. Sorry I may be confusing the issue more than helping. Try the review comment sections on Youtube for some answers.
A:AnswerI am almost certain anything you have on you roku/firestck whatever, it can record it. Try the Tablo forum and ask there. Possibly some of the comment sections on youtube for Tablo reviews.
A:AnswerThis will record OTA (over the air) programs. You access these recording just like any DVR. You can play the shows on any smart tv with their app.
A:AnswerYou need an antenna for this to work. If you use antennaweb.org and put your address in, you can figure out what kind of antenna you’d need and how to position a directional one, if you get that. Some antennas just stick on the wall or in the window and still might get you something.
A:AnswerHello,
Our 4th Generation Tablo does have an internal TV amplifier; however, we can't guarantee how much that will improve your connection.
Check out our knowledge base, we have an article on how to determine the best TV antenna for your location.
A:AnswerHello,
Our 4th Generation Tablo DVR connects to your router so that you can stream over-the-air TV to any device on your network. While it can connect via Wi-Fi, we recommend an Ethernet connection. However, said connection will be to your router, not your TV.
Hope this helps.
A:AnswerI think you can have 2 Tablo in your home, but you probably don’t need them. The Tablo doesn’t connect to your TV - you use an App on another platform like Roku/AppleTV/FireTV to watch what’s coming from the Tablo.
I’ve streamed on multiple devices at once, but the 2 tuner edition like this one means you can only stream 2 different LIVE TV shows at once. I haven’t tested recordings, but I bet you could stream more than 2 different shows to different devices at once.
A:AnswerOn AppleTV, you have to wait until the recording is done. It’s a codec issue. On most other devices (FireTV/AndroidTV/Roku) you can start watching a recording in progress. Just go to the library and find the in-progress recording. If you go through the guide, you’ll only be able to watch live.
A:AnswerNot directly.
However, if you were able to connect a compatible streaming device to it, you would be able to use that device to work with Tablo.
