Yes this would be too large for a tablet....unless you were wanting to carry additional items inside it as well. It's fairly good size.

That will definitely fit in there! I use it for my MacBook Pro that is 16 inches, and there’s still room to spare. So you should have no problem putting that plus any accessories or papers you might need.
