Does this include the sleep wake magnets? This feature should shut off the screen just by closing the front cover of the case onto the ipad.

No, this case is not a "smart case" so it doesn't sleep/wake the device when you open or close it.

No, this particular case does not shut off the iPad when the case is closed. Tarsus does make cases like that, but this isn't one of them.

My Targus model no. THZ531US-51 has the magnetic shutoff feature. I’m using this very case with my iPad 2 right now.
