Do I need to have google tv to use this tv null

No I do not have it it may help but don’t need it.

This TV has Google TV built into the TV. To utilize the smart features you would need to complete the guided setup which includes connecting to the Internet logging in with a Google account. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
