Hello, Yes it can be used in that fashion. We recommend using HDMI and changing the input icon to Computer from the menu. -TCL Customer Support

Please try again later.it's horrible for PC use. i got a pink screen half the time just from alt tabing out of games. also games look better on a smaller screen for example if you get a 27 inch 1440p screen the picture would look more crisp and also have better text because you have good PPI with that combo.
