“this case doesn't allow me to push any side buttons, when i try it does nothing i do not understand how this can be, i have an iphone 8 plus, i guess i will have to rerurn unless someone else has any suggestions?”

I had to maneuver the case a bit and then I was able to use the buttons. It took some getting used to as I needed to apply a more direct contact than prior case. I had the same concern initially and almost returned it
