For example, if you take out only earphone (R) and leave earphone (L) in the charging cradle, earphone (R) will connect to the smartphone. You can listen to music or make calls with one earphone while charging the other. Hope this helps! -C

Please try again later.As far as I know yes when I take them off out of my ears and I put them in my pocket even after I hit pause I can hear them playing in my pocket and if I take one out of my air the other one still plays the sensor will feel that it's in the air and it will play but if the other one the right or left is out then you know what I'm saying you'll only hear one earbud I hope that helps but the answer to your question bluntly yes that should work only one earbud and should work
