• The gold is a metallic paint, therefore is not expected to fade. A hard cover slide case is included in the packaging for protection against scratches.

• Yes, it is painted, I have the Gold one. However, it is long lasting and durable, but as any product you get your normal wear and tear within time. That really depends on how you take care of it.
