“Does it come with a users manual? My friend ordered one from Amazon but looks like no thick user's manual was included; it only has thin pamphlets that look NOT to be a complete user's manual. It also came in a box as oppose to a normal plastic package”

Yes it should come with a user guide.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It comes with some kind of template. I received at the bestbuy store but mine has a broken plastic cover and store say is brand new. I don't have time to complain. To your question, im not sure what is normal plastic package.
