“What would you need the extra low simmer function for? Does anyone regret not having it? Also can anyone speak to the reliability of this model over several years. Thank you”

• Hi stef, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SGSP365TS. The simmer function is wonderful if you make delicates sauces, melt chocolate or butter. It adds a new dimension to cooking.
