Can I hardwire this fan to a standard "wall wart" plug-in 12V power adaptor? I've already done it and the fan seems to operate as designed. However, the output on the wall wart is rated as 12V but 300 mA/.3A. Will this damage the fan? Thank you. null

No, that should be fine as far as it's power draw.

It will be fine, a device like a fan can only take as much power at a given voltage as it can.

If you had a 12V 50000 amp power adapter, it would still only take .2A.

As long as it's a power supply of 12V and more than .2A you are safe- they can also run at voltages around 7V
