Direct Bluetooth connect/tracking average range is still about 50 feet for me. You get an extended range if there are other Tile App users in the area, because the Tile App will ping all Tiles in the area, but only the registered Tile user gets to see/track their tiles. Its like leap frogging/piggy backing.... This doesnt work for me all the time, but its a good feature to have when it works.
