• I would like the TV to run in portrait mode without connecting a PC or tablet to it. It seems like it should be a setting on the 'smart' TV.

• The Fire TV Edition television experience is in landscape mode only. You can connect a computer to the TV using HDMI. On the computer, change the screen orientation to portrait. David M. - Toshiba Support
