• Yes, use the DirecTV remote to control the DirecTV box and use the included remote to fully control the TV.

• Well I have Spectrum and I need 2 controllers one for TV in general and one for my Spectrum box. The controller is for TV only controls everything that has to do with TV apps, etc.
