Yes — the MEATER Plus should work fine through a closed Weber gas grill lid, especially at 25 feet or less. The Plus model includes a built-in signal repeater in the charging block, which boosts the Bluetooth range up to around 165 feet in open air. Metal lids can reduce Bluetooth strength a bit, but most Weber owners report no issues with connectivity when the repeater (the bamboo charging block) is kept right next to the grill, not inside it. Please try again later.Yes but… DO NOT use the probe when cooking at temperatures above 527°F / 275°C, or when cooking directly above hot coals or flame I copied and pasted from owners manual. I use indirect heat till desired temp then take it out and sear the protein. I love this thermometer btw
