Q: QuestionWith TurboTax -Online Deluxe 2025. Can I save my tax return along the way and come back to complete it later? Once my tax return is complete, can I save it to my local harddrive?

• A:Answer Yes. TurboTax - Online Deluxe 2025 automatically saves your progress as you move from screen to screen. You don't need to press a 'Save' button. You can log out at any time, and when you log back in, you will pick up exactly where you left off. While your active return is stored securely on our servers (the cloud), you can and should download a copy to your local hard drive for your records. You have two options: PDF File: Best for reading, printing, or sending to a loan officer. Tax Data File (.tax2025): This is a digital backup file. You cannot read it, but if you ever need to amend your return using the Desktop software in the future, this file is required.

Q: QuestionFor the last several years (>10) I've used TurboTax Deluxe. My broker provides a link which I present to TurboTax; that enters all of my investment activities for the year to TurboTax. Will this continue for me with the online deluxe version?

• A:Answer We typically recommend TurboTax Online Premium 2025 for investment activities as it is recommended if you sold stock, bonds or mutual funds, sold employee stock, own rental property or are a trust beneficiary. If your situation doesn’t involve that but instead investments/dividends, TurboTax Online Deluxe will work for you. In either case, you will be able to import your brokerage investment activities or choose to manually enter them if you wish.

• A:Answer You can e-file your federal and state taxes together. However, if you choose to e-file your federal first, you'll have to wait until that return has been accepted before you can e-file your state. If your federal hasn't been accepted, or you printed and mailed it, you won't be able to e-file your state but you can print and mail a paper return. Q: QuestionWe have used the Deluxe desktop version for years and can’t anymore as our computer only runs Windows 10 and is not upgrade able. So we need to go to the online version and wondering if we need the Deluxe or Premium version with investments?
