• Yes. All connectivity is via the dongle with the Gen 2 Max. The previous version connected to the Xbox without a dongle (nice!) and support bluetooth simultaneously.

• I would not know as I got this particular headset to use with my PS5. Though it is advertised for Xbox, it works with PS5 just the same.
