A:AnswerI have a 46in screen on my stand and it is close to the edges. My TV is older so it has trim around the screen that's about 2 inches. Your 50 inch might pass over the edges just a bit. If you don't have anything next to the stand or close to the TV, I think you will be fine.
A:AnswerAfter I assembled mine I had about 8 1/4” on the top shelf and 8 1/2” on the bottom shelf. The bolt heads and support bars will restrict placement beyond those measurements. Hope that helps!
A:AnswerThe instruction say to wall mount the stand, but I don't see any reason to. It is very sturdy - I could even sit on the front edge an it didn't tip. Maybe if you have small children you should mount it to be extra careful, but I see no other reason to mount it.
