• No this speaker has 360 degree sound. The quality of sound is amazing. The boom 2 is a smaller speaker you may want 2 for a large area. I have 2 and sync them & put them in different rooms of the house.

• Hello Dahlia. Yes, with 2 speakers, you can have stereo L/R sound. It will have to be set up in the Ultimate Ears app. If you add a 3rd or more speakers, they all will play in mono (all the same audio).
