“does this speaker have an equalizer or equalizer app? With high frequency hearing loss, the standard booming bass in modern speakers means I can't really hearing anything. My old (ancient) stereo system amp had an equalizer & I could adjust perfectly”

No just a volume up and down button unless there’s an app I don’t know about

Once you've installed the App, follow the instructions to pair your speaker, and then from the main screen, you'll see the the option to power on your speaker, control the volume, and adjust the EQ settings. There are some EQ presets offered to you, or you can also customize your own sound as well. - Mathieu from Logitech
