Hello ShyRonnie! I'm assuming you're talking about the UE Boom 2 speaker, right? We had a Mini Boom (but no Mini Boom 2) a while back (about 8 years ago) which was a smaller rectangle speaker, while the Boom 2 is only a few years old, and in a cylinder shape, much closer to the look of the Megaboom 3. Now in terms of sound power and features, the Megaboom 3 is definitely a step above from the Boom 2 in a few ways. You're going to get a more powerful sound, a deeper bass thanks to it's larger shape, up to 20hrs of battery life versus 15hrs for the Boom 2, a longer connectivity range of 150ft versus 100ft, and a better protection being certified IP67 versus IP7. And the good news is that you'll be able to pair them both together inside the Boom App should you want to!
