Hello. The Megaboom 3 is made of the same materials as the Boom 3, so the durability is the same. They are both rated at IP67- dust and water proof. The Megaboom 3 is louder and has more bass than the Boom 3 due to more speakers and a wider frequency range. The Megaboom 3 is almost a pound heavier and about an inch taller than the Boom 3.
