Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HD Homerun will provide the OTA channels and but you need to decide which software you want to use for DVR-like capability. I use PLEX currently which has DVR plus program guide. This feature I beleive requires a "Plex Pass" which is $39, runs great on FireTV (the new one - stick is a little under-powered). There are other options, but the main thing is you need some type of software to get program guide and DVR scheduling. Check the app store for fireTV and google around.

First all HD Homerun ways require purchasing the DVR package it is about $36 per year if i remember correctly. it also comes with the tv guide type functionality. you then must provide some way for the system to store the recordings. Currently you can install to a NAS based system like a QNAP or Synology but FreeNAS is not supported. you can install the HD Homerun software on an Always on Computer. Like a home workstation or a HomeLab Server it can then record to that computer's Hard Drive If you use Plex or Emby they have services that will allow you to record from the network tuner. I believe KODI (xbmc) also has some features if you are skilled enough to set them up. best place to check out is reddit on /r/plex or /r/emby

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Have you tried SiliconDust DVR? I currently use the HD Homerun with an AppleTV and the channels app (www.getchannels.com). I have not tried to channels DVR but I hear it’s a better solution than SiliconDust. You may have to have an AppleTV to use this solution.
