Yes, but you'll need a separate power supply. Given the sideband functionality of this radio, it should make a good base station.

Sure, any mobile CB can be used as a base station with a 120 volt power source. You will want to pony up the extra cash for an inverter made for electronics as the cheap ones will cause a LOT of static and can make a good radio almost unusable. I think this radio would make a perfect base station with the right power source and a good base antenna.
