• Gift certificates are not legal tender. You can't just bring them to Best Buy and barter with them. Make sure your parents buy you the right gift card next time.

• NO - It is usually illegal. Gift cards can also be a way for criminals to launder $. Technically, anyone can enter any #, but if there's a problem someone at least holds the bag or gets a brutal SWAT style police visit. Nothing on you, of course. I don't use the Apple i-stuff either so if it was your b-day...
