I do not know. Never had a problem with these cds , you must have got a bad batch, defective. Suggest you return them.

I can’t say where they were manufacture but how about your equipment is it hi fi capable ,digital compatible this will effect your recording and get a disk cleaner and use regularly.

These CDs are made at several oversea industries so that could account for getting some that misbehave. As with anything related to tech items that are mass produced there can be issues with some of these. I have had issues with my old set that is 9 years old. But 5 bad out of a 100 pack is a low number in my book.

I hope that since your last investment with these you have tried the latest on the market.
