• Yes I purchased a Samsung tv as well. As long as you have an optical cable input in the back of the tv, that's all you need.

• I am using it with an LG with no problems. It has multiple inputs so functionality is really dependent on your TV. For example, I use the Optical output on my TV to connect to the soundbar. Since my TV has the option for variable output levels, I can control the volume with only the TV remote. Also, once the soundbar detects no output, the energy saving mode will put the soundbar to sleep. It automatically powers on again when it senses input.

• Yes, this sound bar is compatible with any TV that has RCA, Optical or USB ports.

• should be comes with what you need to hook it to tv mine is Vizio
