“I’d like to mount this as close to the wall as possible. I see the power cord comes out the rear and not the side. How deep is the power cord when plugged in to the tv? How thin can the tv mount be to support this?”

Tom. Plug may extend about a 1 to 1-1/2 inch, it may be difficult to mount it flat on the wall. Have not seen right angle (90°) power cords for TV side. Other big size Vizio models have the AC power connector on backside at a 45° angle, which makes it easier to place your TV closer to your wall.
