“We would like to get a swivel base for the table on which this TV will sit. Is there a particular brand or type that will work? On some of the swivel reviews we have seen, there concern about the brackets in the back covering the tv’s plug ins.”

I don't know about swivel bases but I do know that the hole pattern on the back of the TV is standard.
