How can using a normal phone help at all? Perhaps you assume everyone has a smartphone when many people choose not to do that. No devices that aren't intricately tried to cellular should ever require a cell phone to be used or setup. Poor design.

You can purchase a remote for this sound bar. This models remote will be the D21-H.

You don’t need a remote. Set up your sound system in the app from your phone. Once you have the sound adjusted to the settings you want you can then use your regular tv remote to adjust the volume
